www.whybillywhy.com we support the soldiers....not the war. I wrote this last year when my son-in-law was deployed to iraq. Bush has done nothing more than make the world a very unsafe place to live if you are American. When will we wake and realize that this invasion is not the best way to fight terrorism and that our sons and daughters should not be asked to give their lives for democracy in Iraq? God bless our soldiers and may they come home soon.

What's Running Us

Hailing from London, UK, Ricky Russell is a forward-looking tunesmith with a political edge. His sound blends guitar samples and electronic production; his words burn with desire, impatience and rage. Ricky’s first album is available through socialist, ethical record label Faustuss International and can be bought here:

http://faustuss.com/music&film.html

Written about the ubiquity of war and set to a brooding electronic landscape, ‘What’s Running Us’ has become an instant favourite in Ricky’s catalogue for fans, old and new. The song can be downloaded here:

Possibly the very best anti-war song ever...a strong argument presented sweetly and with reason.  This song was written in 1950 by Ed McCurdy and has been recorded by many artists over the years including The Weavers, John Denver, Simon and Garfunkel, Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Johnny Cash and Garth Brooks. This is my rendition.

irst used as a symbol of resistance by US soldiers in Vietnam expressing their opposition to that War; also used to represent the term for electrical impedance, the "ohm"), is again being seen in locations across the USA and the world as a rallying icon for a new stand against oppression, fascism and war. Set to music of the same name, written and performed by Peoples Glorious 5 Year Plan (pg5yp.net), "Resistance" is intended as both an emotional statement and an educational work.

Love

04:12

This song is antiwar, it is raw, it is unsettling and provoking.  As I contemplate the reality of love in today's world, I see us repeating the mistakes of the past. This song is a message, a political statement to all that would hear it.

video with rich media format artwork, in the tradition of Jimi Hendrix's 'Machine Gun' song and anti-war video.  The original rock song, 'Anger and In-Dig-Nation' , was written and performed by Dr Ryman using a 'virtual instrument' inside a 'virtual environment'. 'Lead' and 'Rhythm' guitars are performed on keyboard controller.  An intense, raging rock trio, 'Neoclassic' in form, the likes of Cream, or Band of Gypsies with politically and environmentally charged lyrics. Arguing from the standpoint of 200 years of constitutional law, the film/song makes the case for impeachment of those responsible for violating U.S. and international law, and attacking and occupying a sovereign country without cause in waging the war against Iraq.

INTRODUCTION ON rallytime

My rock song, rallytime, comes from the heart - I had suffered for the cause of a few when I spoke out against all stupid wars, namely Iraq, but now jillions are chanting no war.  For more about me and my song, see:

REVIEW ON rallytime

Hey Bill (er, Leo),

I have to be honest that tune-FLIPPIN’ ROCKS!!!!!. I played it about four times and each time I hear something different but I have been humming it all day, "/c'mon baby lets go to town.... GIVE PEACE A CHANCE! lay down your guns...... let's save the eaaaaaaaaaarth/!"

RALLYTIME ROCKS!!!!!

The question is; How do we get the public to listen? A lot of this country has its head up its patriotic ass. This rest has had its head inserted into a warm dark place and the lubricant has been the government's bullshit use of religion to sway Christian conservatives, then they legislate morality, they employ millions of corporate dollars in a calculated drive to Washington DC where they can make rules that just feed the money hungry monster and those rules generally screw over your average Joe.

Corporate brainwashing of the public and stomping of small business, the stock market raping of blue collar America, and keeping up with the Jones has turned America into the greediest selfish country in the world.  The American TV mentality instills a wanton need for SUVs, NFL jerseys, more and more credit, pre-prepared food, pharmaceuticals that are killing -- and all of this keeps them in bondage to this mentality while the current government administration maintains its exploitation of poor people globally and imperialistic designs of US-interest-land.

All of this manifests itself into a police state, the perversion of American society, the destruction of the American middle-class, the disintegration of family, the proliferation of selfishness, etc., etc. I don’t want to blame the religious right -- they’re just a bunch of polyester-wearing-do-gooder nerds that have been manipulated by the Bush administration’s use of the bible as a tool.  But I did see a bumper sticker that made me chuckle the other day, “Dear lord save us from your followers.”  Yeah if we don’t make it /RallyTime/ in this country I am afraid we’re in big trouble and it may be too late.

Maybe we should look to peace icons like Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. for guidance in how to counter this tyranny that threatens our life and mind like cancer.  I applaud you for your thoughtful creative musical efforts.  It really hits home!  Maybe your rehashing of “give peace a chance” will be infectious and give rebirth of “Power to the People.”  Maybe this country can rise up and think on its own.  A country of freethinkers would have to be more conscientious than the zombie mentality we have today and everyone could realize what a sham the Iraq War has always been.

That would be the most Red-White-and-Blue-Patriotic movement ever!!!!!!!

Keep it up, brother!!! Rug Heads are God's children too and as such are my brothers.

Also, memorize your lines and change up your background!  The fog machine was a great
touch.

We can all be intellectual Bikers!!!!!  Aaaaaah, Ha ha ha ha!!!

The gentleman in this “You-Tube” attachment is an old colleague, or more correctly mentor and editor, of mine from back in my TorC- Desert Journal Days.  Bill Johnson (some of you may recognize him) has always gravitated to what is right and good and he has always stood up for the common man.

Today he comes to you with his anti-war song RallyTime in a twist on his creative talents. Personally I find the song thoughtful and catchy with a Neil Young Simplicity and a little Mariachi and Who thrown in for good measure - let me know what you think.

In reality I try to stay neutral and out of the American political fray (unless something really gets under my crawl, like everything does).  But ultimately War is not good and his message obviously does not come without great contemplation.  Right or Wrong in your own opinion have you given our nation's current state a good thinking over?

In any case, I like his riff and I’m thinking you may to if you would please take time out of your busy day and register at YouTube and leave a comment for him and everyone to see. All you people who I send stuff to all the time and I never hear from you - YOU ESPECIALLY (you know who you are)!  Also, and I have never asked anyone to ever do this, (I don’t think) but could you forward this message to at least six-billion people
it could end up bringing your kids good luck!!!!!

Thanks,
