GINAX3

Welcome to the GINAX3 Web Blog to honor Gina Marie Ebberts, mother of three who died only two months after turning 21 years old as the result of sepsis disorder, a massive infection of her internal organs, and misdiagnosis by medical professionals in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.  Her children now live with their grandparents, Teresa and Bill Johnson, and their father, Justin "J" Morgan, in Albuquerque.  This is a collaborative family effort, including photos and videos of Gina's children.

Gina Marie Ebberts, 21, of Truth or Consequences, NM, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at her home.

She was born May 6, 1983, in Wichita, KS, to Teresa Carol (Cassady) and Howard Ebberts.  She attended Geronimo Springs High School in T or C and during her younger years she was a member of the ZoyE Pappas Tap Dance Class, which held community performances, and the T or C Dolphins Swim Team.

She was a retail clerk most recently at the Circle K convenience store in T or C and previously at the Williamsburg Chevron.  She also had worked at McDonald’s and at T-R-C Big-A-Burger in T or C.  She was the main distributor about a year for the Desert Journal - which she named for her parents, the publishers, at age 12 in September 1995 - until the weekly newspaper folded in May last year; however, its remnants continue to exist online with this website.

Survivors include her three children, Paris Ann Ebberts, 5, Veruca Violet Morgan, 21 months old, and Stewart Ray Morgan, two months old; her husband, Justin L. “J” Morgan, all of Truth or Consequences; her parents, Teresa C. and William L. “Bill” Johnson of Albuquerque; her parents-in-law, Lyle R. and Linda S. Morgan of Buckeye, AZ; her brother, Joshua L. Ebberts of Socorro, NM; her maternal grandparents, Marcella and Gene Loyd of T or C; her paternal grandmother, Pauline Ebberts of Towanda, KS; her grandmother, Patricia D. Johnson of Albuquerque; her uncles and aunts, Ray Cassady of Dolores, CO, Carry and Kathy Cassady of Dolores, CO, Bruce Cassady of T or C, Greg and Clara Johnson, Martin Johnson and Bert Johnson, all of Albuquerque; her many cousins; and many close friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gene Ebberts; and great-grandmother, Lois Magness.

Viewing will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, June 21, at French Mortuary of Truth or Consequences, NM, with private memorial services to be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the fund of Gina’s children (to be established).  Arrangements are by French Mortuary of T or C Inc.; 505-894-2574.
